Definition and Use

Usamos A y AN para hablar de una cosa, persona u objeto en singular (equivalente a "un" o "una").

  • A: Con palabras que comienzan con sonido de consonante.
  • AN: Con palabras que comienzan con sonido de vocal.

Do not use A + plural

We do NOT use a/an with plural nouns.

❌ A/AN no va con plurales

📌 Regular Plurals
We add -s to make plural nouns in English. Sometimes we need to add -es, -ies or -ves.

🧠 Forma Rápida de Recordarlo
  • La mayoría de sustantivos solo añaden -s.
  • Si termina en sonido silbante (-s, -sh, -ch) → añade -es.
  • Si termina en consonante + y → cambia a -ies.
  • Los irregulares hay que memorizarlos.
💡 RECUERDA: Nunca uses a/an con formas plurales.
